Dedicated to my friend Nik, who paved the way for a memorable stay in Belgrade. He was working the night shift at Hostel 40 when I came to the gate and awkwardly tried to negotiate a price over the intercom. He finally said, "Why don't you come in and we'll talk about it?" It took me almost 2 weeks to get out of there, thanks in no small part to his company (and Lucky's, and Tanja's, but definitely not the Irish guy's). I took way too many photos of ugly buildings while I was in Serbia, so Nik has given permission to post some of his people shots.
