This is dedicated to my friend Nick, who showed me the best of Chiang Mai and was welcome company amid all the dull fa-rang in the guest-house ghetto. We drove to the city outskirts this morning for a photo safari at the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek (the great thing about flowers is they don't complain when you take their photo 20 times trying to get the light juuust right). Of the shots Nick took, these are some of his favorites—and I'm grateful he brought me along for the ride.
